Combined genre games are not super serving their audience, they are super niching them

... with the exception of a persistent universe where multiple client types can connect and interact with the game through the user's preferred medium.

  • without squad / specific skill metagames, there is no way to find someone good at each role / interface
  • don't build a PVP game without community building meta-game as a core of your product
